Our History
Our mission is quite simple. Find a way to ensure this technology is adopted as quickly and as broadly as possible.
We want to see this technology brought to not only the commercial and municipal world where it provides significant ecological and financial benefit, but also to remote communities, where our technology offers the opportunity to address the twin needs of clean water and environmental protection while eliminating the normal requirements of significant built infrastructure, power supply and the rarefied expertise normally required for the operation and maintenance of such assets.
It is only through the pervasive provision of sustainable wastewater processing to effective and safe re-use levels that we can have any hope of mitigating climate change and decades of environmental and social impact for remote communities.
Founded in 2022 by Soner Bekir, ALGAESYS Pty Ltd was formed to bring the benefits of sustainable wastewater processing pioneered by ALGAESYS SA in Portugal and its founders John Fagan & James Lander to the Australian, Asian and New Zealand marketplaces.
ALGAESYS SA is the sole holder of the license to exploit the international patent developed by John Fagan outside of this region for the proprietary treatment train developed over the past eight years to process wastewater in a sustainable, ecological manner. ALGAESYS Australia operates under its’ own license from John Fagan acting as the sole distributor of rights to operators in our marketplace.
