These are the essential building blocks for the biological reactor tanks. They provide the surface on which the biological component of our system grows and are currently in their third generation of development. The components that make up the logs (blades) are made from gas-entrained polypropylene. This makes them 15% lighter than the previous generation, which subsequently means they require less energy to rotate. In addition, this innovation appears to make it significantly quicker for the organisms to “bind” to the surface making commissioning quicker.

The Biological reactors we have designed are essential to the treatment process. There are currently two designs, dependent on the size of the plant. Either single-width (2.5m x 5.5m) or double-width (5m x 5.5m). The tanks can be made using 345 Stainless Steel (as pictured) or for the double-width tanks, they can be concrete-cast. Dependent on customer requirements, we can either supply the stainless-steel single-width tanks, or we can provide the designs for the tanks, frame & hangers required. If the customer chooses to arrange fabrication themselves, it is important to ensure that the resulting tank, frame and hangers are millimetre perfect matching the plans, to ensure that the plant operates as expected.

Each plant requires a license to make use of the IP required to operate. The License is for the operational lifetime of the plant and is non-transferable or usable for other plants. The License is based on the build-cost of the plant and represents between 7% and 15% of the total build cost. We obviously only provide licenses for plants we have designed, or that have been designed by an authorised partner and Quality Controlled by us. Any use of our Intellectual Property without a License will be pursued and prosecuted.
